HUNTING IS NOT A SPORT….
HUNTING IS NOT A SPORT BECAUSE THE PREY DOESN’T KNOW IT’S IN THE GAME.
Hunting is not a real sport,
Because the prey cannot retort.
The perils of being a beautiful duck,
Huge if it just runs out of luck.
Hunting’s bad for the whole family
Killing mom is just a calamity.
Offspring left alone will die,
not before they all will cry.
Fascination brings a ton of fun,
depends on which side of the gun.
Trophies bring out the ego’s boast,
Few will find the hunter’s roast.
The measure of moral greatness,
distains leaving an animal mateless.
Satisfaction wains in killing for sport,
It will be dealt with in God’s court.
Should a hunter who stops to pray,
expect a hearing amongst the slay?
The Lord will judge the mercy giving,
how well the soul has done in living.
Animals give more than they take,
offer pleasure when alive they make.
A man who destroys nature’s art,
Can not claim a change of heart.
The crosshairs of a long gun sight,
Kills the deer that was so bright.
A camera’s lens gives a 1000 time,
the warmth of spirit so sublime.
