NFL WILL NOT MANDATE PLAYERS TO STAND DURING ANTHEM AND FLAG CEREMONY

HISTORY:
When Colin Kaepernick kneeled in 2016 to protest black social injustice he started a movement which has mushroomed into a racially divided debate.

A few other players took a knee while some issued statements in support. .As the NFL season opened, the protest spread throughout the NFL, with whole teams taking a knee. Mr. All American Jerry Jones, Dallas Cowboy head honcho, yielded to the pressure and joined his team in a demonstration on the field.

One Pittsburgh Steeler stood alone in the tunnel and saluted the anthem and flag, while the others cowered in the locker room. He then retracted in a public statement which most believed was disingenuous and was forced by team management.

DONALD TRUMP:
The President was outspoken, in no uncertain terms, that the protest was a national disgrace. The disrespect to the uniform which included military, police, fire, and 1st responders was not going to be tolerated.

70% of Americans agreed.

While left wing media, talk show hosts, and some black groups, ridiculed the President for his stance, Mr. Trump doubled down and continued to say what most of America was thinking.

He talked principle while pundits accused him of exacerbating the divide. Trump was being Trump.

NFL COMMISSIONER ROGER GOODELL:

Hypocrite Goodell has announced the NFL players will not be required to stand during the national anthem anthem. Yet, he fines them for wearing 911 socks, while allowing Kaepernick to depict police as pigs on his socks. Dallas Players were fined after wearing a support badge after five policemen were killed by a deranged gunman influenced by BLM

Poor leadership and inconsistent action contrary to what the fans want will take Mr. Goodell down when he is up for reelection.

Good riddance to bad rubbish.
